Four Nine X Ai (FNX) a decentralized exchange for swapping BEP20 tokens on Binance Smart Chain. PancakeSwap uses an automated market maker (AMM) model where users trade against a liquidity pool. Such pools are filled with users’ funds. They deposit them into the pool, receiving liquidity provider (or LP) tokens in return. They can use those tokens to reclaim their share, plus a portion of the trading fees.

Users can swap their tokens through the Swap function. Four Nine X Ai (FNX) already created some mainstream trading pair liquidity pools. Users can swap between any two supported tokens by paying a 0.2% swap fee. Four Nine X Ai (FNX) Exchange is an automated market maker (AMM) that allows a user to exchange two tokens on the Binance Smart Chain network. The liquidity provided to the exchange comes from Liquidity Providers ("LPs") who stake their tokens in Liquidity Pools. In exchange, a user gets LP tokens that can also be staked to earn Four Nine X Ai (FNX) tokens in the "Farms".

Liquidity

Liquidity pool is used to facilitate swapping, loaning, perpetual contract, and options functions in FNX swap. We create FNX to USDT, BNB, and other mainstream trading pair liquidity pools in future

A Decentralized Exchange (DEX) is a blockchain-based platform that allows users to trade cryptocurrencies directly with each other without relying on a central authority or intermediary like Binance or Coinbase.

πŸ”„ How a DEX Works

Unlike centralized exchanges (CEXs), where your funds are held in exchange wallets, a DEX allows you to:

  • Trade directly from your crypto wallet

  • Use smart contracts to automate order matching and settlement

  • Retain full custody of your funds (no middleman)

πŸ” Key Features of DEXs

Feature
Description

Non-Custodial

Users control their own private keys and funds

Permissionless

Anyone with a wallet can trade, no KYC/ID

Trustless

Trades are executed by code (smart contracts)

Transparent

All activity is on-chain and auditable

Interoperable

Many support multiple tokens and networks

πŸ§ͺ Types of DEXs

1. Automated Market Makers (AMMs)

  • Use liquidity pools instead of order books

  • Users trade against pooled assets

  • Liquidity providers (LPs) earn trading fees

Examples: βœ… Uniswap (Ethereum) βœ… PancakeSwap (BNB Chain) βœ… SushiSwap (multi-chain)

2. Order Book DEXs

  • Similar to centralized exchanges but decentralized

  • Keep a ledger of buy/sell orders

Examples: βœ… dYdX (Layer 2 perpetuals) βœ… Serum (Solana) βœ… Loopring (zkRollup)

3. Aggregators

  • Find the best prices across multiple DEXs

  • Save users gas and slippage

Examples: βœ… 1inch βœ… Matcha βœ… Paraswap

πŸ“ˆ Pros and Cons of DEXs

βœ… Pros
⚠️ Cons

Full control over your funds

Slower execution speed than CEXs

No KYC (privacy-friendly)

Higher gas fees (especially on Ethereum)

Censorship-resistant

Can be complex for beginners

Wide token availability (even new tokens)

Risk of scam tokens or poor liquidity

Passive income via liquidity provision

Impermanent loss risk for LPs

🧰 Tools for Building a DEX

If you want to build your own decentralized exchange, you’ll need:

  • Smart contracts (Solidity, Vyper)

  • AMM logic (Uniswap v2/v3, Balancer curves)

  • Frontend (React) with Web3.js or Ethers.js

  • Wallet integration: MetaMask, WalletConnect

  • GraphQL/indexing: The Graph for analytics

  • Hosting: IPFS, Vercel, or your own domain

πŸ”§ Example Use Cases

  • Token trading (ETH, ERC20, BEP20)

  • Yield farming (stake LP tokens)

  • NFT swaps (e.g. sudoswap)

  • Cross-chain swaps (via bridges or LayerZero)

  • DAO-governed exchanges (like Curve or Uniswap)
